Mountain Gorillas Trekking Safari destinations.
There are numerous locations for gorilla safaris. One notable destination in Rwanda is Volcanoes National Park. This park is renowned for its Gorilla and Golden Monkey tours. Every visitor to Rwanda aspires to embark on a tour here and engage in various safari activities. Additional activities include hiking excursions to the Karisimbi and Bisoke Mountains. The Musanze Caves, which bear a somber history from the genocide era in Rwanda, and the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, offer boat rides around the islands.
Other notable destinations are located in Uganda, specifically Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Forest. These parks are recognised for their lower rates on gorilla trekking permits. Bwindi forest has four sections with Rushaga holding the largest number of habituated Mountain Gorilla families. The other sections include Nkuringo with 4 families, Ruhija with 5 families, and Buhoma with 6 Gorilla families. Safaris and self-drive tours originating in Kigali, Rwanda, often visit these parks because of their more affordable gorilla trekking permits.
Queen Elizabeth NP in Uganda / Akagera Park — Rwanda
