Akagera national park has successfully reintroduced lions, African wild dogs, and rhinos, making it one of Africa’s most dynamic conservation success stories.

Akagera National Park, located in eastern Rwanda, is the country’s only true Savannah national park and the sole location where visitors can view the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants, and buffalo). Covering 1,122 square kilometers, Akagera has undergone significant conservation efforts and now offers some of Rwanda’s best wildlife viewing opportunities.
